Beginnings

To begin, to start, to commence and to end, to complete or to finish are a complete contrast of words but really, they're not so different. They both require a (huge)leap of faith into the unknown, the uncertain and unpredictable future.

But there's something so inviting about beginnings, for you never know what the future may have in store for you and you absolutely will not know unless you try. It's really a pleasant juxtaposition of fear and excitement. Lucky for me, that's my favourite kind of contrast.

Ahoy! You've stumbled onto my little nook here on the interwebz. I'm Stephanie from Splashes of Stephanie. Yes, the name would make a lot more sense if I were a swimmer, surfer or water aerobics enthusiast. But alas, I am none of those things. I am, however, someone who has a myriad of interests. The way I see it, my brain is a pool that's filled with many ideas and interests and when you jump/cannonball into this pool, these ideas and interests will generate a huge (steph filled, idea and interest driven) splash.

Also, I've always harboured a great love for alliteration and I think it sounds marvellous.

Now the beginning has began, I look forward to writing more posts to make up the middle.
